New Delhi: Less than 24 hours after he was released from Tihar jail on interim bail till 1 June, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal is set to visit the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, followed by a press conference at the party office and a roadshow in South Delhi.

The Supreme Court while granting Kejriwal interim bail Friday directed him to surrender before the authorities on 2 June. While granting him bail, the court rejected the argument put forth by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that Kejriwal cannot be granted bail to campaign for the ongoing general election since campaigning is not a fundamental right.

Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on 21 March in connection with its probe into alleged money laundering in connection with the Delhi government’s now-withdrawn excise policy.
