Indore, Sep 16 (PTI) Three women workers were killed and four others injured when they were buried under debris while demolishing a dilapidated house in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, a police official said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Umakant Chaudhary told PTI that the accident occurred in Sanwer town, about 35 km from the district headquarters, when demolition work was underway to rebuild the dilapidated house.
“A wall of the house, along with parts of the adjacent building, collapsed, burying the workers underneath,” he said.
While three women were killed, four other workers including three women were injured, the DySP said.
The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital and the debris was being removed to see if anyone else was buried under it, he said, adding that the incident was being investigated. PTI HWP MAS KRK
