Jaipur, May 4 (PTI) Three people were killed after a trailer truck hit a motorcycle on the Udaipur-Palanpur four-lane highway in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district on Monday, police said.
The accident occurred near Bhimana in the Rohida police station area, when the trailer truck collided with the bike carrying three persons, they said.
Pindwara Circle Officer Bhawarlal said the victims were attempting to cross the road when the speeding trailer truck rammed into them.
Two of the victims died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries before reaching the trauma centre in Sirohi, police said.
The deceased were identified as Dhanaram Garasiya (55) and Raju Ram Garasiya (50). The third victim, Badaram Gameti (50), was critically injured after the trailer’s wheel ran over him and later died, officials said.
Police said the bodies have been kept at the government hospital mortuary.
Both vehicles involved in the accident have been seized, and a search is on for the truck driver, police added. PTI AG MPL MPL
