Amaravati, Oct 6 (PTI) Marking the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years of public service as Gujarat Chief Minister first and later as the PM of India, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav on Tuesday called him as the statesman leading the country towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India).
Yadav underscored that on Wednesday, October 7, Modi completes a 25-year journey of public service which started on October 7, 2001 as the CM of Gujarat and later led to his elevation as the PM on May 13, 2014.
“The 25-year-long services rendered by Narendra Damodardas Modi as Gujarat CM and later as PM are incomparable,” said Yadav in a press release.
Modi first served as Gujarat CM for 13 years, followed by the ongoing role as PM, which is currently in its third stint and an overall Prime Ministership of more than 12 years, he said.
The Andhra Pradesh BJP leader underscored that PM Modi has emerged as the “torchbearer of the people of the country who resolved the crisis plaguing the nation.”
According to Yadav, India was beset by coalition politics for 30 long years before 2014, leading to disenchantment among people and uncertainty over the future.
At such a juncture, he reminded that the people of this country elected Modi as the PM, recognising the latter’s services to the people of Gujarat.
“People recognised the good results of Modi’s services as the CM of Gujarat and proclaimed that he is the right leader to fulfil their hopes and dreams,” said Yadav.
People believed that the sculptor of “Vibrant Gujarat” will transform the country into “Vibrant India,” he said.
Yadav underlined that decisive leadership with clarity of thought is PM Modi’s niche, outlining developments such as abolishing triple talaq, rescinding Article 370, GST reforms, surgical strikes, Operation Sindoor and foreign affairs, among others.
Further, he noted that PM Modi led the construction of 12 crore latrines under the Swachh Bharat scheme, extended LPG gas connections to 10 crore women and built four crore welfare houses, among several other initiatives. PTI STH ADB
