New Delhi: The opposition staged a protest outside Parliament Tuesday against the developments in Maharashtra. Parties including the Congress, Trinamool Congress, and Shiv Sena boycotted a joint Parliament session where Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the occasion of Constitution Day.

Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Manmohan Singh led the protest, saying democracy was being murdered.
