New Delhi: A video of a woman supposedly being stabbed in Andhra Pradesh went viral Wednesday on Twitter after a fake account claiming to be Anil Kapoor tweeted it. The communal tweet claimed that the woman was stabbed by Muslims because she was a Hindu who married a Muslim man and refused to wear a burqa.

In the video, one can see two men stabbing and beheading the woman. After the horrific ordeal is over, the men show victory signs to the camera.

However, the video is neither from Andhra Pradesh nor is the woman possibly Indian. It is from Brazil.

The video was also circulated in Kuching, Malaysia, where many claimed it was connected to a murder that the local police was trying to solve. However, the officials in Malaysia clarified that it had nothing to do with the murder case and their investigations led them to conclude that the video was shot in South America.

The police there arrested the man who shared the video in Kuching and is investigating the matter.

According to a report, the video is of a 19-year-old woman who first went missing in January 2018. Prior to her murder, she had posted a video of herself in which she said that she would leave a drug gang for a better life for her and her daughter. After this, the members of the drug gang called Comando Vermelho allegedly killed her.
