India’s recovery rate at 96.75%, over eight lakh people vaccinated so far

New Delhi: More than eight lakh healthcare workers were vaccinated in India till 7 am Thursday. So far, 8,06,484 people have been vaccinated in the country. In the last 24 hours, 1,31,649 people were vaccinated across 2,398 sessions.

Karnataka has conducted the most number of vaccinations so far, with 1,21,466 beneficiaries. This is followed by Andhra Pradesh at 91,778.

So far, 8,06,484 people have been vaccinated in India. In the last 24 hours, 1,31,649 people were vaccinated across 2,398 sessions. This is a significant decrease from Tuesday when 2,20,786 people were immunised across 3,860 sessions.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded 15,223 new cases of Covid-19. At least 83.84 per cent of the new cases recorded were concentrated in eight states and union territories.

India’s total active case count declined to 1,92,308 in the last 24 hours. The active cases account for 1.81 per cent of the total cases in the country. The rising daily recoveries and declining new cases have contributed to a reduction in active caseload.

The total number of deaths recorded in the last 24 hours stood at 151 Thursday. India’s total death toll has reached 1,52,869.

India’s case fatality rate stands at 1.4 per cent. Punjab’s fatality rate continues to be the highest in India at 3.2 per cent. This is followed by Maharashtra at 2.5 per cent and Sikkim at 2.2 per cent.

The total number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours stood at 7,80,835. Since the beginning of the pandemic, India has collected 18,93,47,782 testing samples for Covid-19.

The test positivity rate in India reached 1.9 per cent in the last 24 hours. The overall test positivity, calculated since the beginning of the pandemic, has reached 5.6 per cent.

As many as 19,965 Covid-19 patients recovered across India in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,02,65,706.

India has recorded a recovery rate of 96.75 per cent.

As many as 1,06,10,883 people have been infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in India.

Kerala continued to report the highest number of active cases recorded in India at 69,914. The state has reported 8,64,195 cases of Covid-19 and 3,524 deaths.

Maharashtra recorded the second-highest number of active cases in India at 47,982. The total number of cases in Maharashtra stand at 19,97,992 and the state has seen 50,582 deaths.

Uttar Pradesh recorded the third-highest number of active cases at 7,873. The total number of cases recorded in the state stand at 5,97,628 and deaths at 8,591.

Karnataka recorded the fourth-highest number of active cases at 7,716. The total number of cases recorded in the state stand at 9,33,578 and deaths at 12,185.

West Bengal recorded the fifth-highest number of active cases at 6,675. The total number of cases recorded in West Bengal stand at 5,66,482 and deaths at 10,080.
