New Delhi: The University of Lahore in Pakistan expelled two students Friday after a video of them hugging on campus went viral.
In the video, a young woman hands a bouquet of roses to a young man and after that the two of them hug while a crowd of students cheer them.
A statement issued by the university said that the students had violated Section 9 of its General Discipline Rules and Code of Conduct.
However, their expulsion has caused massive outrage across the country with journalists, activists and general public decrying the move on social media.
In a tweet, lawyer and activist Jibran Nasir said that in a country where pedophiles were “defended”, two consenting adults were unable to express their love publicly.
A country where pedophiles are defended and protected in the name of child marriage and converting religion of little girls we are uncomfortable with two consenting adults expressing love for each other. We reduce our so called morals to a joke everyday. #UniversityOfLahore

Another Twitter user pointed out that the same university had allegedly not expelled a teacher who was accused of sexual harassment.
they expelled two students for being in love meanwhile the teacher who sexually harasses students in the campus still stays.

Trophy hunting saves Markhor
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has been successful in increasing the population of the endangered Markhor, a large screw-horned goat that is typically found in the Himalayas, through several measures including trophy hunting.
In the 1990s, the government had opened up the option of international trophy hunting. This was done in an effort to increase the population of the endangered species. It was hoped that controlling, imposing taxes and regularising hunting of Markhor would prevent illegal hunting. Furthermore, the government hoped it would also prove to maximise revenues for locals in the areas.
Since then, international hunters have been allowed to hunt the species for an expensive government fee, out of which 80 per cent is reserved for the local community while 20 per cent is allotted to the national exchequer.
An official from the wildlife department revealed that shooting the Markhor would cost more than $150,000 currently and this has heavily controlled the hunting of the species.
The population of the mountain goat increased from 275 in 1993 to 3,500 in 2018. The species has been classified as endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources due to excessive hunting and poaching.
Unique banyan tree straddles India-Pak border
A banyan tree that straddles the working boundary between Pakistan’s Punjab and India’s Jammu has emerged as a popular tourist attraction. This tree is the only point on the boundary where a concrete pillar isn’t marking the border.
The tree is located in the Suchetgarh area of Sialkot, on a road that leads to Jammu.
A few years ago, the point in the border was marked by a pyramid-shaped pillar number 918. However, the widening girth of the banyan tree trunk soon engulfed the pillar post. Due to the wide trunk of the tree, it is located both in India and Pakistan.
The Border Security Force from India and Pakistani Rangers guarding their respective borders, did not cut the tree and once it completely engulfed the pillar, the number 918 was painted onto it.

First, why do you care? You have no say in this.
Second, the headline is a misleading clickbait but again, that’s what can be totally expected from you gangus.
Third, please try looking what sentiments people have for jibran nasir, zardari family before posting stuff.
Fourth, while quoting “paedophiles”, did you think of Asifa, the kid who was gang raped in a temple in Kashmir or your thinking capacity just revolves around Pakistan?
Cheers
