New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has “tackied up” the White House, Hillary Clinton recently said on the Pivot podcast. The next president will have to make a big decision on what to do with a half-finished ballroom, the former US secretary of state added.
“You know, when I was in Baghdad after the fall of Saddam Hussein, I had meetings… in some of his palaces, and they were quite reminiscent of what we are seeing in our own White House,” Clinton said.
Clinton appeared on the podcast Friday, discussing various issues from the Iran war to memes about her.
Pivot is an award-winning podcast hosted by technology journalist and entrepreneur Kara Swisher and NYU professor Scott Galloway. The show began on 24 September 2018 and was picked up by New York Magazine in April 2020.
“They [Swisher and Galloway] bring a ridiculous amount of wisdom (and more than a little attitude) to one of the biggest subjects of contemporary American life. We’re delighted,” said David Haskell, editor-in-chief of New York Magazine, at the time.
‘More than a little attitude’
The podcast covers the hottest topics in American politics, and the hosts are known not to mince their words. In a recent episode, while discussing Robert F Kennedy Jr’s combative interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Swisher said the politician “sounded like a rabid raccoon”. In the CNN interview, RFK Jr doubled down on a false claim he made about the US having the highest death rate during Covid-19.
In an episode on AI models escaping test environments and hacking other systems, the hosts simplified the language for lay viewers. “These things are jumping out of sandboxes because that’s their job—to jump out of sandboxes,” Swisher said, adding that AI models would do what they were trained to do.
“This is more Jurassic Park than Terminator or Skynet, because someone left the gate open,” Galloway said. “Someone, I imagine, gave the AI directions on how to do this; they were shocked by how ambitious and creative it was.”

Alongside Pivot, Swisher hosts On with Kara Swisher and is editor-at-large at New York Magazine. Galloway is a clinical professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business and published a book, Notes on Being a Man in 2025.
