New Delhi: A day after Cockroach Janta Party’s former spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya claimed that he was attacked by a group for his social media posts on Hinduism, a man named Prince Gaur has taken accountability.
In an Instagram video, Gaur claimed that he was among the men Dahiya complained about.
“I was the one who spoke to him and explained to him that, brother, whatever you have to say about Gods or religion, you continue with your comments and we will do our part,” Gaur said.
“You all must have seen Vijendra Dahiya’s video. The Prince Gaur he is talking about in that video is me. I was the one who spoke to him and explained to him that,” Gaur said in what appeared to be an intimidating tone.
In his video message, Gaur added, “Let this sink into your mind, from your head to your toes, into every part of your being: you started this, and we will put a full stop to it. And remember, that full stop will be such that it will set an example.”
Gaur said Dahiya does not have the right to abuse any god or religion, or make any derogatory comment.
“We set an example–that no one will speak badly about Sanatan Dharma, Sikhism or any other religion,” he said.
What happened to Dahiya?
Dahiya claimed that on the pretext of recording a podcast, he was called to northeast Delhi’s Jaffrabad. After reaching the location, several men threatened to “cut him into several pieces”. He was then chased to Jaffrabad Metro Station.
After the incident on 31 August, Dahiya filed a complaint at Begampur Police Station. In his complaint, Dahiya names Prince Gaur, Mukesh Jain and others. However, he was not sure if the identities were forged or misused.
While talking to India Today, Dahiya said that a man named Rohit first contacted him on WhatsApp on 5 August. Later, he was introduced to Prince Gaur, who invited him for the podcast.
Dahiya further said that the display photo on WhatsApp was of an Instagram handle @Jagatdambrader4, which had a link to Prince Gaur’s Facebook account. Dahiya also claimed there were links to an Instagram account named “MJ Mukeshjain”, and a YouTube channel called “Shallu Nisha Podcast”.
Dahiya recalled that he reached Jaffrabad DDA colony at 4 pm, where he met Rohit aka Gaur, who tried to hide his identity.
He was then taken to a park, where Gaur confronted him, saying, “Tu Hindu devtaon ko apne Instagram pe kyun gali deta hai? (Why do you abuse Hindu gods on your Instagram?)”
Dahiya managed to escape from the area, but claimed that Gaur followed him and tried to grab his collar.
Since the incident, Dahiya has alleged that he continues to receive messages on WhatsApp.
He has approached the police seeking security for himself and his family. However, no FIR has been registered so far.
