Panaji, Oct 8 (PTI) Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday condoled the death of actor Nana Patekar, describing him as a “legendary” artiste who did not merely act but “truly lived” the characters he portrayed.

Patekar, 76, passed away at his residence in Goa early on Thursday.

In a post on X, Kejriwal said he was “shocked and deeply saddened” to hear about Patekar’s death.

Patekar’s classic hits from the 1990s had left an impact on an entire generation, he noted.

“He didn’t just act.. he truly lived his characters. His distinguished style will forever remain etched in our hearts,” the AAP leader said.

“It is so hard to believe he is no more. May his family and loved ones find strength during this difficult hour,” Kejriwal added. PTI RPS GK

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
