New Delhi: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has doubled down on her earlier remarks, labelling Gen Z protesters as “gutterchhap”, immoral, and vulgar. In the caption to her Instagram reel, Ranaut wrote that she was posting a “selfie video” after being inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ranaut said that the video was directed at members of the media who criticised her for her choice of words for the protesters.
“We don’t want anyone to sexualize your children before time with their indecent behaviour,” she said in Hindi.
Ranaut alleged that the media is “ganging up” and ignoring the instances where she praised Gen Z achievements. She said she had applauded young entrepreneurs behind Skyroot and congratulated students who cleared the NEET examination.
“But I am seeing that for a few followers, likes and comments, the media has sold itself,” she added.
‘Beware the Feminazi’
The actor-politician also took shots at “so-called feminist anchors”, who previously responded to Ranaut’s vulgarity argument with the assertion that women must not be forced to bear the burden of divinity or morality.
“Excuse me, would you teach your daughter that living with discipline and within the bounds of dignity is not a choice? Everyone may want to express their emotions, but if you want to live in a society, you have to abide by the Constitution. That means your freedom ends where my nose and ears begin,” Ranaut said.
The Mandi MP argued that while people were free to behave as they wished in private, they could not publicly use “sexual curses” against those whom others worship. She added that many in the country worshipped PM Modi.
“Students call PM ‘Exam Buddy’, people believe in him, some call him a leader, some a friend, some a family member, and some, god. You cannot hurt anyone’s feelings,” Ranaut said.
According to Ranaut, such behaviour was not “being cool” but a lack of basic civic sense.
“Don’t get influenced by these ‘feminazi‘. If you behave like this, you’ll be removed from your workplace, and even your family will not tolerate your indecent behaviour,” she said.
For Ranaut, both “science and scriptures” advocate self-improvement rather than “animalistic” behaviour.
“They are putting a chain around your neck, so you behave like an animal and display animal tendencies, and finally land behind bars,” she said.
Concluding the video, Ranaut urged viewers to decide for themselves who was guiding them in the right direction and wished everyone a happy Gurupurnima.
“I’ll say what I have learned from my gurus: this life is given to us to evolve, not regress like animals,” she said.
