New Delhi: “Unhone humein cockroach kaha, par cockroach kabhi marte nahi” — an unofficial anthem of the Cockroach Janta Party has been launched on YouTube, with many versions now popping up across social media.
The Cockroach Janta Party started as a satire, a parody party, and now it is taking over the internet. On Friday, the Instagram page of the party reached 21 million followers, while its new X account, Cockroach is Back, has more than 1.5 lakh followers. The popularity of CJP continues to grow on the internet.
While their manifesto and petition seeking the removal of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak continue to garner widespread support, several artists and social media accounts have begun creating “anthems” for the party, proudly claiming the identity of “cockroaches.”

‘Main bhi cockroach, tu bhi cockroach’
Lawyer Prashant Bhushan posted an anthem on 18 May on X, two days after the online movement started picking up among the youth.
With electrifying beats, the song played, “We are the cockroach party, children of the burning city”. The over two-minute song criticised the government over false promises.
“Kick us down, we rise again from the gutters from the stains,” the subtitles read.
Another CJP anthem was posted by Randive brothers on YouTube on Friday. The channel, run by Dj Prith and Dj Manav, has more than five lakh subscribers and 146 videos.
The song starts with a motivating line — “Janta ki ab jeet hogi”. The rest of the song goes, “Rozgaar do, jawaab do, jhute waado ka hisaab do (give us employment, give us answers for all the fake promises).”
The next line in the song is, “Ish sehar mein sapne bikte hai, degree waale bhi yahan bhatake hai (dreams are for sale in this city, and even those holding degrees are struggling)”.
All these anthem videos have been made using artificial intelligence.
Another anthem released in Kannada by musician Prasanna Bhojashettar had the lyrics: “We too get tired of the same politics”.
Urging the youth, the musician wrote, “Come forward with strength and show real transformation, Come together come together, Lets rebuild India together”.
The Cockroach Janta Party is making headlines globally. The founder of the party, Abhijeet Dipke, in an interview, earlier this week, told ThePrint that young people are tired of “outdated” politics in India.
The youth wrote to Dipke, “Do not back off!”
