Tropical Storm Emily weakens slightly, US NHC says

(Reuters) – Tropical Storm Emily has weakened slightly, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in an advisory late on Sunday, adding that it could become a post-tropical cyclone in about 36 hours.

The storm was located about 1,105 miles (1,780 km) west-north-west of the Cape Verde Islands, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour (75 km per hour), the Miami-based forecaster said.
