New Delhi: Aryan Khan’s Netflix series The Ba*ds of Bollywood is set to return for its second season, with the show expected to go on floors in March 2027.
According to a Variety India exclusive, the ensemble cast from the first season will reprise their roles in the sequel, which includes Lakshya as Aasmaan Singh, Sahher Bambba as Karishma Talvar, Bobby Deol as Ajay Talvar, Raghav Juyal as Parvaiz and Anya Singh as Sanya. Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari and Rajat Bedi are also expected to return for the new season.
The first season of The Ba*ds of Bollywood premiered on Netflix on 18 September 2025. The seven-episode series follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an aspiring actor who delivers a surprise box-office hit with Revolver. However, his success comes with its own challenges when producer Freddy Sodawallah (Manish Choudhary) traps him in a three-film deal.
The series marked Khan’s directorial and writing debut. He co-wrote it with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan. The series is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment.
The makers have not revealed the story of the second season. The development comes after Siddiqi confirmed in August that discussions were underway for another season, without officially confirming its renewal at the time.
The series ranked ninth on Netflix’s global Top 10 TV shows list in 2025, according to FlixPatrol. The series competed with Billionaires’ Bunker, the Spanish thriller from the creators of Money Heist (2017-2021), which held the top position, and the South Korean fantasy romance Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, ranked second.
The show also competed with titles including The Dead Girls, You and Everything Else, Two Graves, Maledictions and Love is Blind: France. In its debut week, the series secured the fourth position on Netflix’s global non-English viewership chart, recording 2.8 million views.
However, more details about the show’s narrative and the production schedule beyond the March 2027 start date remain under wraps.
