New Delhi: Janhvi Kapoor was her candid self during her appearance with Varun Dhawan on Koffee With Karan season 9. From addressing the Peddi controversy and admitting her lapse in judgement to taking an indirect dig at Veer Pahariya and Tara Sutaria’s relationship, Kapoor didn’t hold back. For the first time she even admitted her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya.

In her past visits to the Koffee couch, there have been subtle indirect hints, including the last time when she almost said, ‘Shikhu.’

When Karan Johar asked Kapoor, “are you officially dating Shikhar”, she promptly answered, “yes, I am.”

“I don’t want nazar and to be overly explicit about what’s happening in my personal life. But I don’t think people give that much of a f**k. I think its overrated to never let anyone know ever. Its boring to be tipi-toe around it,” Kapoor said.

Pahariya is her ‘endgame’

KJO, while establishing the base for his follow-up question, revealed that after her break-up with Pahariya, she dated Ishaan Khatter, “then there was another relationship.” However, she later got back with Pahariya. KJO even recalled watching Pahariya and Kapoor from a distance when her mother Sridevi passed away. So, he asked Kapoor whether she always knew Pahariya was her “endgame.”

To which, Kapoor narrated an incident of how Pahariya quietly rearranged his life from London to Mumbai to be there for her after her mother’s demise.

“I think he was studying in London, he took like half a semester off. He came to Bombay and he used to stay in town with his dad then. I only found out much later, he moved to his friend’s house in Juhu for like a month. Not that I was seeing him every day or anything like that, but later on I just found out that he was like, no, in case she needs me, I just want to be around.”
