New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday announced major reforms in the mining of minerals through a seamless composite exploration-cum-production regime.

She said 500 blocks of minerals will be auctioned in a composite exploration-cum-mining-cum-production regime.

Also, a joint auction of bauxite and coal blocks would be done to enhance the aluminium industry’s competitiveness.

This, she said, will help the aluminium industry reduce electricity costs.

She said the distinction between captive and non-captive mines will be removed to allow the transfer of mining leases and sale of surplus unused minerals, leading to better efficiency and production.

  1. India is moving towards a big disaster. Now it seems nobody is worried and China Corona Virus as in the case of poor workers and labourers. All are worried about packages and grabbing freebies. Free food and free ration proved to be big scams. All the food is only distributed in files. Hardly anything on the ground. Opposition leaders, journalists, NGOs, activists etc have diverted the fight against the China Corona Virus. Where are Leftists, Muslim journalists, activists, NGOs, opposition leaders who were fighting to give citizenship and all benefits to Bengladesh and Rohingya Muslim Inflirtrators and intruders but doing nothing for India migrant workers and labourers dying of hunger and accident. People have fallen so law that they are demanding relaxing the lockdown enforcement for Ramazan, Eid and Namaz. The governments have almost surrendered to these agendas and hardly doing anything to Control China Corona Virus.
