New Delhi, Jun 1 (PTI) Augmont on Monday launched an AI-powered gold purity evaluation machine at its branch in Chennai, enabling customers to instantly assess the purity and indicative value of their gold ornaments.
The machine uses advanced robotic and artificial intelligence-based technology to offer a transparent, non-invasive assessment of gold before customers opt for loans, sale or recycling, the Mumbai-based Augmont said in a statement.
The facility has been integrated with Augmont’s gold loan technology platform, allowing eligible customers to proceed with the loan process immediately after evaluation.
Gold continues to remain one of the most trusted financial assets for Indian households. However, gold evaluation has traditionally remained a process dependent on manual assessment and customer trust.
Ketan Kothari, Whole Time Director of Augmont, said: “We wanted to introduce an innovation that directly enhances customer confidence and decision-making.” Chennai is an important market for us, and this pilot launch will help us better understand consumer adoption and behaviour, he added.
