Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg was accorded a ceremonial reception by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Tuesday morning. The two heads of state later held talks about strengthening bilateral relations and economic ties.
Solberg arrived on Monday for a three-day visit to India. She arrived with her country’s senior officials and a large business delegation. So far business entities from the two nations signed 15 MoUs across various sectors.
The first visit by a Norwegian prime minister to India in a decade, it holds the potential to increase and strengthen bilateral economic relations.
After her ceremonial reception, PM Solberg was called upon by external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj.
