New Delhi: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Civil Service of Cambodia to promote human resource development in the civil service sector, a PIB press release stated.
The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Civil Service of Cambodia to promote human resource development in the civil service sector. The agreement will provide an opportunity for the two governments to strengthen and promote bilateral cooperation in the field of human resource development in civil service for the next five years.
This will include the exchange of officials, experts, and resources from both the countries in the areas of administrative reforms, good governance, and capacity building. The MoU was signed by Sri V. Srinivas, Secretary, DARPG, and Dr. Devyani Khobragade, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, at a formal signing ceremony held in Phnom Penh on 22 April 2024.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, the Embassy of India in Cambodia, the Embassy of Cambodia in India, and the Ministry of Civil Service of Cambodia. Dr. Srinivas informed that the MoU will focus on promoting cooperation and strengthening the bilateral exchange between the two countries in the field of human resource development in civil service.
He also added that the government is committed to bridging the gap between the citizens and the government through administrative reforms. The government’s policy is “Maximum Governance — Minimum Government”, which aims to provide a digitally empowered citizen and a digitally transformed institution.
