New Delhi: The Indian Air Force will soon become a future-ready aerospace force capable of providing decisive aerospace power, according to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari.
Chaudhari made the remarks during his address to student officers from the Indian Armed Forces and friendly foreign countries undergoing the 79th Staff Course at the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington on March 22.
He emphasised the need for the IAF to transition to a contemporary and future-ready manner.
“He reiterated the vision as spelt out in the IAF doctrine, which envisages an agile and adaptive Air Force to provide decisive aerospace power,” a statement said.
It also highlighted the lessons that India has learned from conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine War and the Israel-Hamas conflict, including the use of air power in humanitarian relief and evacuation of Indian diaspora from conflict zones.
