Just to add here, when your dad was playing, there was no TV, no sponsorship, no financial protection, etc while the great name and fame were unfathomable. That makes it difficult to deal with for any one in that scenario post retirement from Cricket – unless someone was emotionally very strong. Best regards.

3.As a soldier educationist,now fully into School education,several,several lessons for all of us.
4.The father son relationship descriptions moved me beyond belief;for I had the exact opposite of his with my father.
Very well written; Moving, emotional and frustrations pouring out due to unhappy childhood and an underutilized, unexploited potential in a career that really didn’t take off. I have seen Manjrekar senior batting in full flow, a sight for the Gods.But what a tale sanjay tells. Really sad. I respect him for saying like it is. ERR
