When I choose to be a dissenting voice within my community, or when I write about atrocities faced by minorities in Muslim-majority countries, people like Deepak become my strength.
The present punishing visa rules, restrictive employment regime and discriminatory immigration system will not facilitate bilateral trade. A return to normalcy is a precondition.
The creation of Viksit armed forces requires a national security vision for 2047, a national security strategy reviewed every five years, and a national defence policy.
Vulnerability has often been compounded by poverty, geography, gender, disability, and limited access to care. Mental health challenges rarely exist in isolation.

By next weekend, Bangladesh will have an elected government. This is India’s moment to reboot broken ties by moderating the ‘ghuspethiya’ rhetoric in poll-bound West Bengal and Assam.
An excellent piece; hit the nail right on the head!!
I have enjoyed reading IKB’s articles over a period of time.
The fact that he/she has to use a pseudonym is a sad commentary on the very ‘mind-set’ that the author writes often about.
Stay on course mate; and stay safe.
The problem with Islam is that no proper reformation has ever happened. All major religions in the world have had/are still adopting to the changes of the society as needed. The author is to be commended for writing in very simple words about the problems which plague Islam. But, who is to bell the cat? An Indianized Islam does exist but it is pushed to the background or does not have a significant voice. I am also curious about the real identity of this writer (Ibn Khaldun Bharati, a rough translation would be “eternal son/immortal son of Bharat, thank you internet) and am also concerned that an Editor’s note stating “We know the writer well and only allow pseudonyms when we do so” is present in all his/her articles. I assume that this person is a Muslim and if his/her real identity is revealed, then there could be threats to his/her life. It is a strange and sad fact that even valid critics of Islam have had to be anonymous because of any perceived threats to their lives. Stay safe and strong, author.
Mr. Ibn Khaldun Bharti’s article echoes my thoughts; perhaps that of many Indians. I have been reading his articles in The Print since long and he doesn’t cease to surprise me.
A Great peice as always, Hitting the Bull’s Eye…
“If it has to be a Indian Religion, It has to be an Indianised religion”
But then again, who will come forward?
If that person comes forward, will he be considered as Muslim by remaining majority…
If they loses their own Muslimness in this process, then why do it in first place?
All the “Indianised” things in Islam are considered Haram or Impure part by Islamists and Majority, at the same time, considered as a beacon of Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb by Left…
A person who speaks of Muslims as a seperate category but takes a name of an islamic scholar to hoodwink others who dont parse through your words carefully is the last person who should be speaking about others.
Like moat commentators you seem to ignore that not Islamic cultures are the same neither are is thw self proclaimed dominance of Deoband actually a reality unlike the real dominance of enters like Ajmer sharif
Many Indian Muslims have fought and died for this country, they celebrate its festivals and contribute to this country’s growth much before people like you could even form their own words.
If supporting india against Pakistan in our three wars is not enough repudiation in your eyes of the impact of the two nation theory then nothing Muslims ever do will and that is a problem you need to focus on.
In the past week the NIA has recommended the death penalty for Pragya Thakur. I wonder you have the courage to pose the same questions to her, the rapists of bilkis bano, Shambala regar and many others like them.

Mr Bharati, your views are too bold, in fact very radical. Not sure if a majority of the muslims would agree with you. Stay safe.
