Artificial intelligence is becoming an important part of education. Many students use AI tools for homework, research and understanding difficult topics.

Because of this, AI is changing the classroom experience in many ways. While some people believe AI is a useful assistant that improves learning, others think it has become a shortcut that cuts down work for students.

The real question is whether it is helping students learn better or making them depend too much on technology.

One of the biggest advantages of AI in classrooms is that it makes learning easier and faster. Students can get instant explanations for difficult topics and clear their doubts  quickly. This can be especially helpful for students who need extra support outside the classroom. Artificial intelligence can also provide personalised learning by adjusting to the student’s pace and level of understanding.

Teachers benefit as well because artificial intelligence can help them create assignments and organise lessons, thereby reducing workload. In this way, AI can be a powerful educational tool.

However, artificial intelligence also has some negative effects when it is not used properly. Many students may start depending on AI to complete their assignments instead of trying to think for themselves. Instead of understanding the lesson, they may simply copy answers provided by AI. This can reduce creativity, problem-solving skills, and independent thinking.

In my opinion, AI should be seen as a helpful tool, but not as a replacement for hard work. It can support students by explaining concepts and providing guidance, but students must still put in their own effort to truly learn.

Education is not just about getting correct answers; it is about developing understanding, critical thinking, and creativity. If students use AI only as a shortcut, they may score well
in the short term but fail to build real knowledge.

To make sure AI is used the right way, schools should teach students how to use it responsibly. Teachers can encourage students to use AI for learning support rather than for completing work. Assignments should be designed in a way that they promote original thinking and personal effort. Parents and teachers should guide students so that AI becomes a learning partner, not a substitute for learning.

In conclusion, AI in classrooms can be both an assistant and a shortcut. Its impact depends on how students and teachers use it. If used responsibly, AI can improve education and make learning more effective. But if students rely on it too much, it can reduce effort and weaken important skills. Therefore, AI should be used as a tool to support education, not replace the learning process.
