Kashmir is a problem of pampered lot of looters at our tax payers cost. While there is undeniably hand of Pakistan, the youth uptill now has been brainwashed by the Hurriyat and Pakistan that they will live in peace after Azadi. While Jammu and Ladakh are on quieted side the boiling Kashmir is in the valley where population of Muslims is 100 percent. These people have been nursed with the thought that only they shall occupy that land and others are not wanted, resulting the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits though under albi of terrorists. Kashmiris say believe us that we are peace-loving people, but where their love for peace vanished when Kashmiri Pandits were raped, looted and murdered in the land which was their own. Taking up arms against State is definitely a treason and shall be dealt with equal force, there is no element of any Human Rights shall be observed. Kashmir valley has been just a kind of a festering wound which refuses to heal and the fault lies with the people of Kashmir who donot want any medication. They refuse to accept the pathetic plight of POK and comparatively decent conditions prevailing in the valley. Vajpayee offered them an olive branch but what happened thereafter has everyone to blame. Their bargained separate status, at the cost of rest of India, has not only bolstered their desire to stand up against the State but also has severely hampered their growth at their own cost. The best solution is to shun article 370 and 35(a) and bring Kashmir at par with any other state.
Modi stopped at Lahore on his return trip from Kabul at the end of December 2015. Four days later Pakistanis staged a ghastly attack on Pathankote air base. All possibility of talks got blown away.

What have all the dialogs with Kashmiris achieved so far?? Nothing! We have pampered this lot for too long and finally the right strategy is being used. And one more thing, please remember it’s only 3 Muslim majority districts where people have an issue. The rest of Jammu and Kashmir is prosperous and peaceful.
Half a million troops are stationed in the Valley. They have the full protection of AFSPA. No one is feeling particularly squeamish nowadays. So the land is safe, it will remain an atoot ang. As for the brave, gentle people of Kashmir, who have almost forgotten how to smile, one cannot judge what they feel towards the rest of us.
The government will have to open their minds to the fact that repression is not a good political strategy and does not bring about peace and harmony. If it did, the USSR would still be in existence and Syria would not be a disaster area.
The way successive governments have handled the Kashmir problem has brought India nothing but shame and disgrace in the eyes of the free world.
High voter turnout? Only in local elections. And separatists vote in Quebec and Northern Ireland.
