Good sense seems to have prevailed with Modi government approaching Pakistan to construct the Kartarpur Sahib corridor. The credit for this should, however, go to Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, who first raised the demand with Pakistan Army chief during his much-criticised visit to that country a few months ago.
The road to a certain tranquility with our neighbor will be long. It is therefore necessary to encourage these individual initiatives, and not to focus because the Delhi bureaucrats were not involved in the process.
