Fresh implosions in Shiv Sena point to deepening fault-lines in Uddhav Thackeray’s party, which has now been reduced to a local Mumbai outfit. It’s a reflection of Thackeray’s apathetic leadership. 1. The political journey of the original Shiv Sena, founded by Balasaheb, has ended. So, and this is very painful, has the journey of the original NCP, founded by Shri Sharad Pawar. The Congress, which had a series of CMs over fifteen years from 1999 to 2014, is down to a whimper. For all practical purposes, there is no opposition in Maharashtra.
