Specialised tribunals were set up to unburden high courts, ensure quick adjudication. Government control over appointments and operations led to ad-hocism and inefficiency. The Tribunals Reforms Bill is a timely course correction. Fixed tenures, time-bound selections, and a robust data grid could bring much-needed order in the chaotic quasi-judicial ecosystem.
Pakistan-Turkey-Saudi Arabia defence pact is strategic signalling
Pakistan-Turkey-Saudi Arabia defence pact is puzzling. Alliances usually emerge against a common enemy or a mutual military threat. Here, there is neither. None are likely to fight Iran for the other and hence looks more like strategic signalling and for political optics than a substantive military arrangement for war-fighting utility.

If the need arises for India to plan military action against Pakistan, like Operation Sindoor, what would be the practical effect of this three nation defence pact.
