CJI Bobde questioning a man if he’d marry the woman he is accused of raping, is disturbing. This objectionable thinking has been witnessed in the lower judiciary and rightly condemned for gross insensitivity. Coming from Supreme Court, it can reverse significant strides made in the language around rape in India.
