Uproar over Katchatheevu is just political rhetoric. No government can go back on sovereign agreements. Modi government had itself told Supreme Court in 2014, and in a 2015 RTI reply that regaining the island would lead to war, and that there was no ceding of Indian territory to Sri Lanka.
