Nagaland Governor R.N. Ravi has done well to bluntly convey to NSCN (I-M) that there will be only one national flag and constitution in India. He’s also right about Naga people wanting a conclusion of the endless peace-process. NSCN should see this writing on the wall on this statehood day.
Controversies aside, it’s time to cheer vaccine globalism, not harp on vaccine nationalism
Day-to-day controversies can’t change the uplifting inevitability of not one, but a buffet of Covid vaccines, that will arrive soon. It’s a wonderful tribute to modern medicine as scientists dissolved national borders, shared and cooperated. Crying over vaccine nationalism is now old hat. Instead, we should be celebrating vaccine globalism.
Beginning of farmer-govt talks is positive. Reform implementation needs persuasion, not confrontation
No immediate resolution was expected, but the fact that the farmer-Centre talks have begun, is a positive. It is also important that there’s been no visible or audible acrimony from either side. All reform is challenging, most of all in farming. It needs persuasion and flexibility, not confrontation or name-calling.
It needs quite a bit more than persuasion. A capability to be a sincere listener and acknowledge concerns of the stakeholders other then your own interest groups. And for sure not succumbing to your own hypnotic mann ki baat.
