We all are aware of Mark Zuckerberg who is the founder of Facebook / Meta and also had helped in providing internet to every village in India. I am also a big fan of him because of how all alone he had laid the foundation of a social connecting platform from a innovative thought. Specially I got to know about him after watching the movie The Social Network launched in 2010 which outlines his journey. This movie had made for many Mark Zuckerberg an inspiration.

But what actually had made Facebook such a success. Facebook was initially launched as The Facebook which was later rebranded to Facebook. But actually the driving forces to success is not only the application itself but many more. Definitely the application is of utmost importance. But even in spite of that there are many more things without which the story would have been different. Persons from business background must know how important marketing and branding a product is.

Whenever a product is developed it can be a very good one but people across the world definitely were unaware of it at that time. And without much money in pocket reaching the whole group of people is a hard ask. The utmost next important thing Mark had done after creating his idea into an application, the first of it’s kind to instantly identify this as a potential business and reaching to investors. Well the idea are good, application is good investors are always there ready to help as they will see their profit from the idea. By taking this accountability into view Mark got investments and he can expand. The application was developed in 2002 but it took four years for really to reach some people that is in 2006 when it started growing somewhat more rapidly. So the key here is patience.

I came to know about Facebook in 2009 when it was growing at it’s peak. There was a google networking platform at that time named Orkut which came to a sudden decline after the rise of Facebook. Once reaching that stage with reach and profitability both increasing it was never a hard ask to carry it on. So by 2015 Facebook was in everyone’s mobile and later it came packaged with Android an even great initiative that made Facebook in phones of every person in the world. So this stage it reached stagnancy in reaching people because most of the population is covered but profitability kept increasing. How good an application be but without proper funds this can’t grow in it’s services. At this stage the main challenge of Facebook is to keep being the favorite among social networks in the planet as they always possess a threat from it’s competitors. That requires proper planning and execution. Facebook has met with all the criteria, requirements and process of a successful application and business and so is being such a success so far.

Inspired from Facebook I have also developed a social media platform named Biznet recently which is though still not available at commercial level.
