ZURICH, Sept 9 (Reuters) – Two people were seriously injured on Wednesday after an explosion at a hydroelectric power station in southern Switzerland, local police said.
The explosion in the village of Piotta was caused by a workplace accident, state broadcaster RSI reported.
A spokesperson for police in the canton of Ticino said the condition of the building was still under investigation after initial reports that the blast had caused a partial collapse.
