April 18 (Reuters) – A man opened fire and killed two people and injured five in a Kyiv district on Saturday and police were now trying to apprehend him in a supermarket, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
“A special operation is proceeding to detain the man who started the shooting and is currently inside a supermarket,” Klitschko said on Telegram.
“According to medical personnel, two people have died so far in Holosiivskyi district.”
Klitschko said shooting was continuing inside the supermarket.
