The Formula One group is reviewing and investigating information about a logo used in a concert tour by Chinese boy group Teens in Times, after fans alleged it resembled F1’s trademark, the Global Times reported on Sunday.

The band’s management company, Time Fengjun, blurred the logo in official concert videos, according to the report. Fans claimed the racing-themed icon and related promotional material closely resembled F1’s branding, though no authorization has been reported.

The logo was designed for the group’s racing-themed concert tour launched in May. Motorsport fans pointed out that the red, slanted design was similar to the outline of the F1 trademark introduced in 2017, with the original “F1” lettering replaced by “TNT.”

Teens in Times, also known as TNT, is among China’s most popular pop groups.

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
