India’s Ambassador to Senegal to take up concurrent role as High Commissioner to The Gambia

A 1990-batch IFS officer, Asthana has served in the Indian diplomatic missions in Bonn, Bangkok, Colombo and Mexico City.

New Delhi: India’s Ambassador to Senegal, Dinkar Asthana, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to The Gambia, with an office in Dakar.

Asthana is expected to take up the assignment shortly, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

A 1990-batch Indian Foreign Services (IFS) officer, Asthana has served in the Indian diplomatic missions in Bonn, Bangkok, Colombo and Mexico City.
