China’s National Center for Seismology (NCS) has issued an alert asking residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions after a 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck a province Thursday morning.
The earthquake occurred in the Qinghai region.
The NCS has taken to Twitter to issue an official alert in this regard.
The alert by NCS added that the authorities are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating response efforts to address any potential aftermath of the earthquake.
