New Delhi: On the economy, Niti Aayog chief Rajiv Kumar has been quick to backtrack on his comments regarding the `unprecedented’ liquidity issue in 70 years for which the government needed to take “out of the ordinary’’ measures. Here is Kumar saying, `all is well’, there’s no need to panic. Seems like he’s panicked, right?
I would request the media to stop misinterpreting my statement. The government has been taking bold steps to accelerate our economy & will continue to do so. There is no need to panic or spread panic.

And well he might have panicked after former Congress president Rahul Gandhi used his comments to target the government.
Govt’s own economic advisors have finally acknowledged what we cautioned for long – India’s economy is in a deep mess.
Now, accept our solution and remonetise the economy, by putting money back in the hands of the needy & not the greedy. https://t.co/pg89JX2RDn

Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil, is facing a lot of international flak for the raging fire in Amazon rainforest. The latest is French President Emmanuel Macron. Bolsonaro didn’t like that at all and gave a fiery reply. Maybe it’s time to stop attacking each other and work to solve this crisis?

Our house is burning. Literally. The Amazon rain forest – the lungs which produces 20% of our planet’s oxygen – is on fire. It is an international crisis. Members of the G7 Summit, let's discuss this emergency first order in two days! #ActForTheAmazon pic.twitter.com/dogOJj9big

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led a crew of BJP leaders who shared Home Minister Amit Shah’s newspaper article about NarendraModi. A Home Minister writing about the Prime Minister — a first?
A strong willed PM. pic.twitter.com/ym19CUGFer

The hallmark of PM Shri @narendramodi ji has been his strong willed approach. The nullification of Article 370, despite the opposition’s inexplicable resistance exemplify this determination. He has rewritten the grammar of change.

It seems like some in the Congress have seen the light of Modi’s ‘New India’. Here, senior leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi seconds Jairam Ramesh’s comment on Modi.
Always said demonising #Modi wrong. No only is he #PM of nation, a one way opposition actually helps him. Acts are always good, bad & indifferent—they must be judged issue wise and nt person wise. Certainly, #ujjawala scheme is only one amongst other good deeds. #Jairamramesh

AAP leader Sanjay Singh drew attention to the rather poor state of roads in Uttar Pradesh by stating that even Hindus walk on them. Are the roads paved on the basis of religion, sir?
pic.twitter.com/XnuvKUgiRk

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi was outraged – what else is new? This time it’s about mid-day meals in schools.
pic.twitter.com/FMD5cYE5Jn

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, and BJP leader, hosted grand Janmashtami celebrations and got so carried away that he attributed everything — yes, everything — to being the blessings of Lord Krishna. Even your loss, sir?
pic.twitter.com/GnMofHGINB

We sense a new bromance brewing…between Prime Minister Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron. Move over Donald Trump everyone.
The menace of terrorism and radicalisation are affecting both India and France. In this context, we will continue working together for peace. France’s support in our fight against cross border terror is cherished and I thank President @EmmanuelMacron for this.

And Raghav Chadha, AAP national spokesperson, is busy fending off marriage proposals. Read to find out.
Sorry Kirti, it’s a bad time to get married considering the state of the economy. Let’s talk again after Acche Din arrive. https://t.co/ddxIhFL9l4
