New Delhi: Not a Twitter regular, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is in charge of east Uttar Pradesh, showed concern about the abysmal law and order situation in the state and did so in a rather innovative manner. Yogi ji, hope you have seen the newspaper clippings?

When former diplomat K.C. Singh took a dig at Congress for celebrating Rahul Gandhi’s birthday despite the Lok Sabha elections loss, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah took him to task: would he not celebrate his children or grandchildren’s birthday if they failed an exam? We think this round goes to Mr Abdullah.
Would you really not celebrate your kid’s/grand kid’s birthday if they failed an exam? I don’t think there is anything my kids could do that would stop me from celebrating their birthdays. https://t.co/n15uuTsxfg

BJP’s IT head Amit Malviya seems to miss Rahul Gandhi more than anyone else. After noticing his absence on the first morning of a new session of Parliament, Monday, he noted the Congress president’s no-show at the ‘one nation, one election’ meeting held by the PM Tuesday.
Y’day PM chaired an important meeting on ‘1 Nation, 1 Election’. 21 parties attended and 3 sent written submissions. Among those who didn’t attend, Rahul Gandhi led Congress, was a notable absentee. For a party that has been around for so long, to not even participate is a shame!

Recently-elected BJP MP from Delhi, Gautam Gambhir greeted his daughter in true cricketing style by using the game’s lingo. Well, we’re all bowled over by the picture, Mr Gambhir.

The other Priyanka of politics, Priyanka Chaturvedi, deputy leader of the Shiv Sena, is handing out free advice to journalists — this one for a report on the encephalitis outbreak in Bihar.
The best way to help the doctors when they are in the midst of handling a crisis in Bihar is to let them do their job¬ heckle them. The time for fixing blame can wait, bring awareness not your reserved outrage!
BTW,this is not a lesson in journalism but how humanity should be.— Priyanka Chaturvedi (@priyankac19) June 20, 2019
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted a “Kahlil Gibran quote” on service, joy and sleep. Unfortunately for him, it turned to be something that Rabindranath Tagore wrote. Pakistan’s problems, big or small, don’t seem to be ending any time soon…
Those who discover and get to understand the wisdom of Gibran's words, cited below, get to live a life of contentment. pic.twitter.com/BdmIdqGxeL

Ram Madhav, BJP national general secretary, proudly presented a photograph of himself with Indian football star Baichung Bhutia, who’s now into politics. Should we expect to see the Indian footballer in the BJP?
Baichung Bhutia, famous footballer and Working President, Hamro Sikkim Party met me and had fruitful discussion about future of Sikkim and possibilities for working together. pic.twitter.com/57Otxf3GJg

And, Minister of State of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju tweeted a picture of India’s Blind Cricket Team and congratulated them for their success at the international level.

Ashok Malik, press secretary to the President of India, reminded everyone that Britain’s Conservative Party MP Boris Johnson, who could be the next PM, is of part Turkish descent. Question is, will that help Turkey?
If Boris Johnson does make it to 10 Downing Street, he will become the first UK Prime Minister of part-Turkish descent. Lord Liverpool from the 19th century remains the only UK PM of part-Indian descent. Fascinating how long multiculturalism and multiethnicity have been around

Congress’s Milind Deora obviously has time on his hands: he’s been watching the HBO’s mini-series Chernobyl and drawing lessons from it on single party rule — in this case, a socialist party. Is this a dig at an Indian political party and if it is, which one?
Watching #ChernobylHBO, @HBO’s outstanding miniseries about the world’s biggest nuclear disaster & subsequent cleanup efforts.
The show attributes the disaster to the undemocratic nature of single-party socialist states – eventually, collapsing under the weight of their own lies
