New Delhi: There is a lot about the media on Twitter Thursday and very little that was positive.

The opinion on the microblogging site was split after Republic TV anchor Arnab Goswami reported that he had been attacked in a parking lot late last night in Mumbai following his attack on Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Republic Bharat.

Just to give you an idea of how the sides stack up:

Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari and BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar, who owned stake in Republic TV, argued over the news anchor’s conduct on his channel when Goswami alleged that Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi had orchestrated the Palghar lynchings. See what Chandrashekhar replied.

Congress and BJP then brawled on Twitter: Here is BJP’s Amit Malviya and Congress’ Srivatsa.

Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha then spells out the ‘cardinal’ rule of journalism.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah condemns the attack on Goswami but former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju is unwilling to overlook the past.

Meanwhile, Kashmiri journalist Gowhar Geelani who was recently booked under UAPA brings us another story — this time his own.

In other news, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K.T. Rama Rao accuses India Today news editor Rahul Kanwal of publishing false data on the number of PPE kits available in the state.

And here’s Union Minister and BJP leader Babul Supriyo teaching “manners” to Kolkata police.

A happy announcement by BJP Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal!

  1. Sonia Gandhi is going to lose the case. Another nail in Congresses and Lutyen and Khan market gangs. Whole Lutyten area land should be confiscated and high rise building build and that spot. We must get rid of present day WHITE ENGLISHMEN>

  2. Such a biased media. What a shame? They are trying to compare news reported by gowhar and patriotic arnab. Can’t differentiate between anti-national tendencies of gowhar. I am astounded by the fact that in this country there are artists and celebrities who are earning their living because they are born in India and are supporting people like Umar Khalid who wanted to separate North eastern part states by blocking the road and also shouted slogans bharat tere tukde honge!

  3. The pint and the wire are operated by independent journalists unlike the big media houses which specialises in bootlicking.

  4. हनुमान की दुम तो जला दी अब लंका जलेगी. वाह मोदी जी वाह

  5. “the Pint” and other media houses like “the wire” are biased media houses, the editors guild is an organisation which has served interest of only specific community. Till now you have only served interests of jihadis. Your fake journalism has always harmed the image of India abroad.
