Avaiz Tazim Ahmad, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, is the son of Tazim Ahmad, a Samajwadi Party leader active in Western Uttar Pradesh and a well known writer of Hindi and Urdu. Avaiz is the grandson of Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Ansari, a social activist in pre and post-independent India who was an outspoken supporter of the ‘Khilafat movement’ in an India under the British Raj.
Avaiz is also an independent scholar and research associate and a staunch believer in humanitarian values and practices. Currently, he is the Chairman and Trustee of The Human Diary Foundation and President of the Lion Group of India, an organisation that works in the fields of healthcare and education.
The Lion Group of India – the Vision of Avaiz Tazim Ahmad
The Lion Group of India, established in 2019, is a non-profit organisation whose core values are Social Justice, Social Reform and Social Equality. Founded by Avaiz and some of his like-minded friends, its head office is in Mumbai and it has spread its wings across India through a free membership drive to bring the young and the dynamic to dedicate their time for making a better India.
The Lion Group of India helps to bring positive changes in the areas of health, education, environment, cleanliness and other areas of social welfare. In addition, the foundation provides relief to abused, abandoned and neglected children by promoting and supporting various childcare and protection programmes.
The Lion Group of India draws its inspiration from the philosophies of two great Indian scholars, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, founder of the Indian Constitution, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, former President, a true patriot of modern India, so as to bring forth social development and improve the living standards of the poor and unprivileged. To achieve this, we have focussed on a wide range of social services with a special focus on Youth Development.
To work towards its goals of bringing positive changes and change in the lives of the needy, The Lion Group of India collaborates with The Human Dairy Foundation, a leading NGO that “works for everyone and everywhere”. Its areas of intervention — Protecting Refugees, Feeding the Hungry, Vaccinating Children, Empowering Women, Addressing the Climate Crisis, Responding to Humanitarian Crises with a focus on Drug and Alcohol Elimination and Abuse and its resulting Criminality & much more.
Objectives:
- To promote an organisation that works on Social Causes, like the Eradication of Pollution, Environmental Cleanliness, Against Cruelty to Socially & Financially Backward Classes, and Girl Child Education.
- To eradicate Drug Abuse among youngsters and create a better India,
- To promote effective practices to create opportunities for each child, adult, and elders irrespective of their gender, appearance, ability, social background and financial background.

Avaiz Tazim Ahmad has recently joined hands with Chandrashekhar Azad, founder of the Bhim Army to fight for the rights of the unprivileged, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and Minorities in society. Soon they will launch a newspaper, which will highlight important social causes. The newspaper will be published daily in Hindi and English languages.
