LONDON (Reuters) – Building products distribution company QXO , led by billionaire Brad Jacobs, recently made an all-cash offer of around $9.2 billion to acquire France’s Rexel , sources with knowledge of the matter said.

Rexel earlier this month rebuffed the offer and QXO is not planning to resubmit a bid, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
