NEW YORK (Reuters) – Cleo AI agreed to pay $17 million to settle U.S. Federal Trade Commission charges that the cash advance company deceived customers about how much money they could obtain and how fast it would be, the regulator said on Thursday.

The lawsuit also alleged that Cleo made it hard for customers to cancel its subscription service, the FTC said.
