It’s interesting story but it can be done in a better way. Yes it feels good headline for readers to click but deeper analysis is needed. When GST passed this compensation played big roll for all to agree. Now that revenues screwed it’s hitting goi. They are screwed. So what is real solution for all this? Are we taxed enougb? Even if goi starts giving compensation who pays for it? Frankly it’s who borrows, a single guy or multiple. High time we should go towards 5% gst and say 15% income tax and rest state manages by their own taxes. This will push each state to have industry so people are able to pay taxes. Local bodies will also raise taxes creating better governance, since people will ask questions.
So many issues for an opposition that is on its toes to raise. Of course, if everyone is in Ms Mayawati’s frame of mind, the government will continue to be on a roll. MOTN will clock 80% ratings.
