Reporters Without Borders published its 20th World Press Freedom index Tuesday. Report talks about 'targeting of journalists, broader crackdown on dissent' in India.
After India was ranked 142 out of 180 countries in the World Press Freedom Index, New Delhi’s Ambassador to France Jawed Ashraf met Reporters Without Borders.
The last time this matter flared up was when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a very similar directive in April, called for the relocation of stray dogs in the capital.
Finance ministry says the proposed revamp will focus on structural reforms, rate rationalisation & ease of living, & will be deliberated upon in the coming weeks.
