This news item does not reflect reality. It is obnoxious to compare some promotions to purely administrative posts, to the Teacher Scam. DDG(P) does not do programmes instead Producers and Programme Executives do. There are no deputation in these post. Instead programme production is done by Casual/ Contract employees for more than Twenty years and none reacted against this. DD has to increase the programme quality to compete. And here we must think why we have repeat broadcasts more often than maximum.
The fate engineering staff that runs the transmission 24 X 7 across the nation is even worse. No promotion for 3 decades & better pay scales granted by the Supreme Court is also denied and is being withdrawn. There’s an absolute chaos in administration, with juniors from other organization appointed at senior position in Prasar Bharati. As an example a person who was 2 grades lower to me when I joined , is now a Dy.Dir in Prasar Bharati, whereas I am still at the same level. Disgusting isn’t it ?
We are looking up to the Hon’ Prime Minister to intervene. For the last 48 months we have been bringing his Mann ki Baat to the entire world. Now it’s for him to listen to our Mann ki Baat and we firmly believe that he will definitely listen and resolve this unprecedented plight of the Programme staff of the two public service broadcasters.
