1. India’s median annual income is approx 1.2 lakhs. This cap is 10 TIMES of that. So even if a person is 10 times richer than an average Indian he or she is eligible for benefits under this quota.
2. Only 0.09% of Indians declare annual income greater than 10 lakhs. Even assuming half of them are OBC, this quota will exclude only a miniscule number. If everybody among OBC is eligible for quota, how will we ever get rid of quota? What is the point of being a merit category student in a land of perpetual quota students?
