Govt is set to spend this amount from 2024-25 to 2028-29 to set up more forensic sciences universities & laboratories. This comes in light of impending enactment of new criminal laws.
Procured from National Forensic Sciences University, 15 vans will be assigned across police districts. Focus is to boost conviction rates & to reduce burden on existing labs.
