The Modi government refers to the cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who became the 14th Prime Minister of India in May 2014. The government is headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), a coalition of political parties.
Under Modi’s leadership, the government has focused on transformative initiatives aimed at economic growth, infrastructure development, and national security. Some of the landmark policies include the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), demonetisation of high-value currency notes in 2016, and the controversial revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which ended the region’s special status. The Modi government has also emphasized initiatives such as ‘Make in India,’ ‘Digital India,’ ‘Skill India,’ and the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ (Clean India Mission).
While it has received praise for boosting economic growth and improving infrastructure, it has also faced significant criticism. Its handling of the anti-CAA protests, the 2020 farmers’ protests, and issues surrounding the delivery of data—such as the absence of a national census and the lack of transparency regarding COVID-19 death tolls—has sparked public debate. The government has also been criticized for its response to social issues, such as the Hathras rape case and the conflict in Manipur.
Despite these challenges, the Modi government, now in its third term, continues to maintain a dominant political presence, securing electoral victories at both state and national levels.
Nice initiative by the government but Same should be extended to political leaders as well..to prevent corrupt practices by them .They must not be allowed to contest elections till they get clean chit after primary investigation found guilty.
Its a double edged sword.
What about politicians? Why not extend the same rule to them too? Politicians who have pending charges in the court should not be allowed to contest elections until they are cleared.
please urgent notifications upsc exam
IAS IPS Get ready and used to, to chamcha giri toe Modi line.
IAS, IPS type services needs to be disbanded. They are dens of mischief. Modi needs to be lauded for trying to fix these corrupt and incompetent babus. However, he is not doing enough.
I think the proposed amendment in the AIS (D&A) Rules, 1969 was long due. Many tainted AIS officers have taken the shelter of the existing legal system and loopholes in the system to continue in the service and have done much harm to the society. If any court has convicted members then the concerned officer must bot be given any assignment and public responsibility. In all such cases these tainted officers influence the subsequent probe and defense from government in higher Courts while in position and finally discharged from the charges subsequently. Once discharged from charges they claim all financial and other consequential benefits such as promotion etc. These officers know the loopholes very well and exploits them while in position after reinstatement in service. So it is high time to keep those tainted officer away from the public position by keeping under continued suspension till they are discharged by the highest Court and authorities from all charges leveled against them .
After 70 years of Independence there is ray of hope for this country!
Mr Narendra Modi is undoing lot of mistakes of the past and his clean image helps him to get people support to fight against corruption. Apart from this he already started acting on bogus companies and many of them got deregistered.
Next target of him should be to eradicate corruption in Indian Judiciary! Please note how many judges disclosed their wealth till date when a voluntary action initiated by SC?
Media should spread every effort to eliminate corruption in the society to see India a real developed country in this century! Let us not miss the Bus!
