Indian communists have come to regret many political blunders – from opposing Quit India to supporting Emergency. Saying no to anti-Modi alliance could be another.
Recommendations appear in Niti Aayog’s Tax Policy Working Paper Series–II. It says there is a need to shift away from fear-based enforcement to trust-based governance.
In service with the British military since 2019, it is also known as the Martlet missile. Ukrainians have also deployed these missiles against Russian troops.
Education, reservations, govt jobs are meant to bring equality and dignity. That we are a long way from that is evident in the shoe thrown at the CJI and the suicide of Haryana IPS officer. The film Homebound has a lesson too.
Though I m not a CPI(M) supporter, I believe Prakash Karat did the right thing by not allying with the INC. For the CPI(M), INC and BJP are nearly the same as far as economic policies are concerned. Even in social cases, though INC projects itself as a secular to the Hindu nationalist approach of BJP, it is not truly secular. It follows an appeasement based secularism wherein a certain community or caste is favored at the cost of the other depending on the situation to create divisions over people and then ruling over it. This is way different from the atheist approach of true communism, which aims at keeping religion and caste away altogether. So, for CPI(M), aligning with INC for beating BJP away is like allying with a tiger to beat the lion. It can very well ally with BJP with same logic to keep INC away so as to protect India from casteist divisions. Moreover, backing INC would make CPI(M) weaker since it erodes the niche, however small, support it currently has.
The Communist Party of India,of any variety, is on a natural course of ending a political life. What difference whether one Karat or another Yechuri can make? Any hair splitting and plausible dialectics is an undue and even unfair attention bestowed
on a political ideology which the public has already forgotten.
Who got shaheed – it is warrior or patriots’ class and some mixed race of Subcontinent.
Who took reins of guardianship of Hindus – it is educating class or the stakeholders of Hinduism philosophy, rest crowd followed the educationists and policy makers of contemporary India (it is who set the curruculum, schemes and gave direction to all sets of disciplines).
Prakash karat is right for anti-congress stand becoz of opportunistic oscillation or psuedo approach of congress on issues of national importance purely on vote bank considerations.
This article is boosa.Yechuri is trying to sell what is left of CPM to Congress at a throwaway price,a Rajya Sabha seat for himself.Karat and his wife are trying to stop both plans. They have prevailed so far and the CPM is still alive.
Mr.ketkar , a congress sympathiser cum journalist, has been expecting a nomination on Rajyasabha for so many years. But, he never got anything. Still, this poor fellow has not given up hope. Here he is criticising communist to please his congress masters , hoping that if (at all) they come to power, they will nominate him on rajyasabha as representative

Modi should encourage opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Prakash Karat etc. His 2019 victory is guaranteed.
